The nature of chemical potential for binary systems has remained unstudied and generally not well understood. (Baierlein, 2001, Cook and Dickerson, 1995). All substances naturally tend to change from one state to another, to react with other substances and to diffuse from one region to another. When chemicals are even completely sealed in containers, they still change their state. This therefore suggests that the tendency of substances to change is an intrinsic property and not just an interaction between different substances. A gradient of chemical potential can therefore lead to the flow of a substance described as substance current (Job and Herrman, 2006). Chemical potential is a thermodynamic quantity that measures the tendency of a system to diffuse. Thermodynamically, chemical potential is Gibb's free energy per particle (Khanna, 1986). Chemical potential measures the rate of change of a thermo-dynamical function. Things that signify effects of change in chemical potential are like rusting of iron, weathering of rocks and spoiling of medicine (Falk et al, 1983).
