In "A Home to Call My Own", Willi recounts his own personal story of survival during World War II, to a new life in America. From his humble birth in the village of Stonischken in East Prusssia, to the shores of New York City, Willi tells of his journey as a refugee fleeing the Russian advance as a six year-old, with no parents, but with two sisters, an aunt, and his grandmother. Leaving his home and travelling across war-torn Europe for over three years, the hand of God protected him and later guided his life across the Atlantic. It was in America where God revealed His plan to show him a new kind of home, one that he could truly call his own.
