The author has published two other books, Blood on the Vine and Golf and Poker. The second book, Golf and Poker, is written for the lighter side of companionship of friends enjoying games together. The first book, Blood on the Vine, is a fictional novel that takes place in the premium Northern California wine-producing regions. The first book draws on the experience, as does this one, of a retired city manager of five cities in two wine-growing states. While the characters are fictional, the experiences described are possible in these environments.
