WARTERS is associate director of Wayne State University's Program on Mediating Theory and Democratic Systems and former chair of the National Association for Mediation in Education's Committee on Higher Education. He has helped to found dozens of campus mediation programs, either by providing the initial mediation training or by offering various forms of technical assistance.
