This work provides insights and essence of Supply chain with focus on Forecasting, Bullwhip effect, Inventory models, Performance evaluation by Balanced Scorecard. The supply chain is a bridge between demand and supply. It is a network of facilities and distribution options that consists of procurement of materials, transformation of materials into intermediate and finished products and the distribution of finished products to the customers. Hence coordination between various players in the chain is an important criterion for its effective management. The relationships should be strongest among players who directly pass the baton, but the entire team needs to make a coordinated effort to win the race.
