His story takes an unexpected turn when, at forty-six, he is stricken with heart disease and after three heart attacks, is left depressed, bankrupt, and unable to provide for his family. Through these dreams, God gives Dewey his direction: "God gave me the tools, the skills, and the vision, all I had to do was follow my dreams." He is an accomplished public speaker and the author of several industry white papers and technical publications, as well as popular online blog, Comments from Tom. Tom is a former member and officer of several healthcare industry and charitable organizations. He was named "2011 Business Leader Magazine Mover & Shaker" and "2012 Top-50 Entrepreneur" in his region. He was a Right at Home President's Circle Member from 2015 to 2019. Now retired, Tom is an animal lover, conservationist, and proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
