Laughter is defined as "a movement of muscles of the face indicating merriment and/or satisfaction". During the last several years, it has become apparent to me that as we move from childhood to adulthood, the laughter in our lives suffers a reduction at an alarming rate. Does this mean that along with the pressures and uncertainty of adulthood, we are losing the joys of merriment and satisfaction? Many years ago, I attended a seminar given by a well-known cartoonist. His presentation contained a multitude of valuable information; however, I left that seminar with one concept that I will never forget. He indicated that a successful cartoonist will find humor in almost every situation he/she comes in contact with. It became apparent that this kind of mindset would increase the amount of laughter in my lifetime. The cartoons in this book were created to help adults change mindsets and bring more laughter back to their lives. The book contains mostly adult humor, in good taste, based on adult situations. While enjoying this book, the reader is encouraged to take another look at the situations he/she faces every day, find some humor in them and laugh.
