Tonya Smith grew up in Lubbock, Texas with a wild imagination and loving parents. Her desire to tell stories is a direct result of reading books. Writing has always been a part of her life. Tonya holds Bachelors of English and Masters of Education degrees from The University of Texas Arlington and George Mason University respectively. She taught high school English for twelve years and then studied to become a veterinary technician. Currently she lives in Florida with her husband and many pets.
