Tori Kendrick is the founder of Empowered Kids Books LLC and works as a DEI non-profit professional. Tori trained in Sociology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a M.A. in Urban Education Policy from Brown University. Her background in education and social sciences paired with her experience as the mother of a young son on the autism spectrum are the foundation for her writing and the creation of Empowered Kids Books LLC. This company is dedicated to empowering kids through books featuring Black and neurodivergent characters, elevating positive stories and inclusive experiences. Tori's vision is to curate a vibrant children's book series where children of color and neurodiverse children can see positive images of themselves in media and create greater diversity and inclusion in the literary space.
