Several methods have been suggested in the world for the managements of root-knot nematode in tomato, including chemical, biological and cultural methods with different levels of successes. Although chemical nematicides are effective in nematode control, their high costs, non availability at the time of need, the hazards they pose to human as well as on non-target organisms discourage users. The study was conducted on a field which naturally infested with the root knot-nematode.Incorporation of Poultry manure and rapeseed oil cake significantly suppressed root-knot nematode infestation, thereby enhanced fruit yield of tomato crop. Therefore, based on these results, farmers could be advised to apply poultry manure and rapeseed cake in root-knot nematode infested fields three weeks before transplanting the seedling or planting tomato for the management of root-knot nematode in easy and safe ways.
