Curcumin and curcuminoids are yellow pigment extracted from Turmeric rhizome. The curcumin has a wide range of biological activity such as, anti-bacterial, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and thus has a potential against various malignant diseases, as well as scavenger of active oxygen and inhibitor of lipid preoxidase. In this study, three series of curcumin analogous are prepared by using pabon methods, the first series prepared alkyl and alkoxy curcumin, second series prepared 5-chloro curcumin analogous and the third series prepared asymmetric curcuminoids. All synthesized curcuminoids are characterized by IR, EI-Mass, ESI-MS, 1HNMR, 13CNMR and 2DNMR. The crystal structure of 5-chloro curcumin was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. In additional studied the stability of 5-chlorocurcumine in acidic and basic medium. The synthesized curcuminoids are examined as anticancer to inhibition the Human bladder cancer cell T24 and PC-3.
