A systematic and dedicated effort has been made to collect two-dimensional resistivity data of the subsurface formation of a sewage treatment site on Ahmadu Bello University main campus, Samaru, Zaria, Kaduna State of Nigeria, for research study. The Research site is located within the South-West region of the main campus, and part of the Kubanni Basin underlain by Precambrian rocks of the Nigerian basement complex. Produktbeschreibung
The main aim of the study is to use the 2D Wenner based configuration electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) technique to characterize the subsurface lithology of the site. The measured resistivity data were used to deduce the true resistivity variation of the subsurface formation and related to geological features or materials. In all, geo-electrical surveys were carried out on a total of six profiles, two of equal length of 300m each and the remaining four, 200m each long. The measured resistivity data were used to deduce the true resistivity variation of the subsurface formation and related to geological features or materials.
