Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious granulomatous disease in animals and humans. It is a worldwide problem especially in developing nations.This study provides information on the epidemiology of TB in rural cattle production in Tigray region of Ethiopia. It describes prevalence and the associated risk factors of BTB in cattle in the area.It discusses the impacts on carcass condemnation,the potential of zoonotic transmission having TB infected cattle in rural communities with evident close human to animal contact and habit of consuming raw meat and milk products and the need of further geographic information of BTB.
