The book examines the socio-economic impact of refugees on EU host countries with a focus on Austria. Refugee crisis has become an important issue more recently in Europe. Due to continuing violence and persecution in the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, Afghanistan, Pakistan and some other countries, refugees cannot live in or return to their home countries. This produces diverse socio-economic implications for refugees' current host communities in Austria, Germany, and other Western-European countries and also in the refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.
