Autorenporträt
Tanya Pikari is a high school English teacher from New Zealand. She has lived in the United Arab Emirates for 11 years with her husband and, more recently, her three young children. Tanya was inspired to write her first children's book, 'Khamis the Camel', after telling bed-time stories to her sons about her adventures travelling the world. She chose to base the tale around the desert of the UAE, which she affectionately refers to as, 'the sandpit' and hopes her story will bring joy to children who love magic, travel and the comforts of 'home' - wherever that may be!
