Garutsa is currently a PhD fellow at the University of Fort Hare, South Africa.Her current study focuses on Indigenous Knowledge Systems, gender dynamics interface and its implications on Food Security. Her other areas of interests include rural development, child development, civil soceities , HIV and AIDS.
