Struggling as any adolescent does during puberty and self-discovery, her son Danny entangles himself in the life of homosexuality. As a mom does not accept such deviant behavior and engages in spiritual warfare for the sake of her son.

Deep in her sorrows of experiencing loss, after loss in her relationship with her son, the author holds desperately to God for fresh nourishing in His presence along the way.

Danny survives suicide attempts. The parents survive the unbearable sight of watching their son hurt himself in their presence while cutting himself in a desperate attempt to "silence" the demons in his head as he said while doing it.

God is honored throughout this book. The individuals who are part of this story are respected and admired for their courage and undeniable faith in a Creator and Designer.
