Teri Thompson is an Associate Magistrate Court Judge, accomplished attorney, and adjunct professor. She is the owner of ZELLA PUBLISHING, an independent producer of books, audiobooks, and digital content that address cultural and diverse content. As a judge, she presides over civil and criminal matters. As a trial attorney for over 30 years, she was the owner of her law firm, TERI THOMPSON, LLC, a criminal defense firm that handled cases ranging from juvenile matters to high-stakes federal death penalty cases. She has practiced in the federal courts around the United States, including the U.S. Virgin Islands.As an adjunct professor, Teri lectures in Criminal Procedure, Constitutional Law, Juvenile Law, Corrections, and the American Court Systems. As a writer, Teri produces powerful collections that address culture and diversity. She is the creative force behind the children's book series, the Adventures of Kai, that focuses on self-esteem in Black children. She is the author of Kinky, Curly, Mine.She is a graduate of Spelman College and John Marshall Law School.
