In 2031, a Muslim OBGYN doctor migrates across the new United States practicing his medical skill with a bounty on his head, with the help of local resistance groups. Fugitives in a New United States is the first story of a dystopian future series about the people in this new country struggling to stay alive and keep a low profile as they fight against the repressive white, Christian Nationalist government. This first book reveals a little about how the new government came to pass and their authoritarian policies that they have implemented against the population. Also the economic results. The story starts with the doctor meeting up with an old friend who works with a local resistance group, and during their escape across upper New England, they develop a close relationship while escaping Homeland Security troops, local militias and bounty hunters. These stories are written for all audiences, from young adult to adult. There is no graphic violence or sexual encounters, although there is some mild violence and romance, which is why the author set a PG-13 rating on these stories. A compelling series for a changing world.
