The story begins with the children's mother, Elizabeth, ordering a coach taxi to take her children to London to stay with their aunt while she has surgery. Little did she know, that she was hiring a sinister coachman who will kidnap Lilly and Thomas and then take them to the magical land to seek reward from an evil empress. The children eventually escape to a nearby forest where they think they will be safe. Lilly and Thomas meet a stranger in the forest who promises to help them get out as the forest holds much danger. He warns them, "once you are in, you may never get out." He has the magical power to release them but the danger that lurks there could prevent them from ever going home again. Each chapter promises to be a page-turner bringing its own set of misfortunes and setbacks. There is always something new . The story is not aimed at any particular audience as it is suitable for all ages beginning with eight to grandpa and especially for families.

Autorenporträt

Terri L. Doutrich comes from a small town called Mechanicsburg which is just outside Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She lives there with her family and pets. She loves writing and feels that she has finally found her passion in life. Her only regret is that she didn't write much sooner.

When she started to write fantasy she realized that she could create towns, people, and events that were beyond our scope of reality. As a former Crisis Counselor, she learned a lot and was able to help many in need who had broken lives. She says that was her most rewarding career. But, stepping into another world is by far the most adventuresome and exciting writing she has ever encountered.

Terri has published several non-fiction, self-help books, but prefers exploring new lands, meeting new people, and experiencing what it's like to be a hero. The Throne of Pidl is her debut novel in the Lilly and Thomas series. . A sequel is in the works. If you enjoyed this book, you will love the next one.
