Terri Wise is an award-winning journalist and former television news reporter who loves writing and storytelling. One of her greatest accomplishments has been sharing her latest children's book called, The Magical Cupcake Blanket, where children enjoy reading with sprinkles of imagination! Terri has a beautiful daughter who loves cupcakes, which sparked the theme for her book. Who doesn't love a good book or a delicious cupcake - right? At the age of six, in Savannah, Georgia, Terri not only loved cupcakes herself, but loved reading, too. She couldn't wait to read everything she could get her hands on and enjoyed sounding out words. That same passion exists today and has made her an advocate for child literacy. With every page of her book, Terri's goal is to engage every child and inspire a love of reading. She knows a number of children across the country aren't reading at grade level and understands the importance of making a change. That's why Terri has taken her book a step further by creating The Cupcake Tales Foundation, a non-profit organization in the Carolinas. Her goal is to help children read at their required grade level to be successful in school and in life. Education is key and will give children the confidence they need to do well in life.
