The author was born in Bizet town, Tigray in 1978 G.C. After completion of his high school education, he joined Mekelle University in September, 1999 G.C and graduated in Animal and Range Sciences. He has then pursued his MSc degree from Haramaya University. He is currently working as livestock researcher at Tigray Agricultural Research Institute
