Autorenporträt
Shreyan Banerjee writes food history series under the pen name "The Holy Chef" and his Instagram handle is @theholychef. Shreyan's academic interest is in Physics and Mathematics but he is passionately curious about food history & food photography. This passion has stuck with him since the age of 13 and his curiosity motivated him to explore beyond food recipes and the origins of popular food including street food. He wanted to share his curated research through this food history series - starting with volume one which is surrounding western savories and desserts. Shreyan's intentions for this book was primarily to show how the world's favorite foods came to be, how they were created or accidentally discovered, and also how they stood the test of time.
