Ms. Ricketts has lived in California intermittently for over 25 years. She is a mother to her teenage daughter and lives what she calls a "New life" since returning to Christ and being baptized. Although writing is not Ms. Ricketts's favorite hobby, an unforeseen accident and her love for other people's joy have helped her write short stories about love, happiness, and personal experiences that could help save someone else's life. When not writing books, Ms. Ricketts is busy doing the 101 duties to be a great mother, completing homework, or doing community service within her city as a Lambda Kappa Omega Sorority, Inc. member. A semi-truck driver by trade, her career came to an abrupt stop when she was hit by a drunk driver while at work. In the hospital, after going through an atrocious knee surgery, she developed a passion for the medical field and wanted to pursue becoming a doctor. She is attending two colleges and hopes to make her dreams come true by following in her father's footsteps and becoming an MD. Each purchase of her books helps her quest to go from Ms. Ricketts to Dr. Ricketts.
