Tim Matheney is concerned about the state of leadership in our nation. He's concerned about leaders who pursue self-aggrandizement over timeless principles and cater to our basest instincts of fear and insecurity. Having spent his 30-year career as a leader responsible for educating thousands of young people and nurturing the leadership of others, Tim believes the concept of leadership is at risk - and that we can do better. Leadership that Lasts frames seven actions that empower leaders to make an enduring impact. Tim argues true leaders connect deeply with those who enrich their lives, commit to the right values, persevere through obstacles, thrive personally and professionally, explore and discover, imagine new possibilities, and dare to be audacious. Part-memoir, part-guidebook, Leadership that Lasts draws on lessons from education, military strategy, sports, and business. Readers will find Tim's personal experiences honest and moving, and his lessons and insights applicable to any leadership role.
