Ministry development is ever as complex as curriculum development and also carries with it some unique challenges including integrating concepts of affective and emotional development, spiritual inputs, and a perpetual learning environment rather than a finite environment such as a course or program. The Intentional Ministry Model is designed to account for these challenges by both building on the notion of outcomes based education and applying its foundational concepts to an entirely different discipline for which outcomes based education was not designed. The Intentional Ministry Model is grounded in the spiritual disciplines of prayer and the seeking of wisdom. It is focused on people made in God's image and reflects in finite space His infinite nature by acknowledging that ministry should not end; though people move in and out of ministries on a regular basis, the ministry continues.
