This study focused on the level of internationalization of education in Georgia, in particular, the international student mobility. It aimed to explore Georgia as the destination country and the country of origin of internationally mobile students, find the problems and barriers existing in the international student mobility in Georgia, like the recognition of foreign education and validation of Georgian educational documents abroad. As the part of my research, I have used interviews, questionnaires and analyses of the secondary data. The study shows that the level of internationalization in Georgian HEIs has increased after the implementation of reforms and tools of the Bologna process, however, the number of foreign students is still quite low, especially on the masters programs and Georgia has to establish its reputation as the provider of the European education.
