Autorenporträt
Tracy Batty was born in Walton, Wakefield to her mum, Irene, and dad, Peter. She has two brothers, Christopher and Wayne. After the failure of her first marriage and the birth of her three children, she married the love of her life, Ian, and they have been married for 31 years. She has written two other books, Steel to Muck in 2013 and Above and Below the Clouds in 2015, after being diagnosed with brittle asthma and bronchiectasis in 2006. These illnesses limit what she can do as she gets breathless, but one thing she can do is write. Writing helps keep her mind active. She also has eleven grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She enjoys knitting and cross-stitch, which she has taught to a number of her grandchildren. She is currently writing her fourth book.
