Autorenporträt
Troy Montes holds degrees in International Studies, Spanish and Linguistics from the University of Oregon and a degree in Philosophy from Portland State University. He has earned a Master's degree in Conflict Transformation from SIT (School for International Training) Graduate Institute. He received an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy upon graduation from USAFA Preparatory School and served two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador. His main interests include traveling, languages, writing poetry and memoirs, and studying conflict and postwar development issues. Troy claims Forest Grove, Oregon as his hometown, but has lived all over the United States. He now resides in Sarasota, Florida, with his wife and two children.
