Dr. Troy Y. Bethley resides in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He is an elementary school principal who supports students, teachers and community members. Troy utilizes research-based instructional strategies to improve student achievement from year to year. Troy received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern University and A&M College in Elementary Education. He received his Master of Education degree from the University of North Texas in Educational Administration. Troy enjoys researching ideas for promoting continuous student achievement; therefore, he continued his studies by earning a Doctor of Education degree from the University of North Texas in Educational Leadership. He has enjoyed writing this children's book to encourage others, while caring for his mother with dementia.
