Umbulowacho watershed is one of highly degraded areas in the woreda Due to high grazing pressure and improper management. Enclosure is the only way to alleviate degradation in the watershed. No proper time for harvesting feed resources from the enclosure by local society. Therefore, under this study the quality of natural pasture was assessed from different cutting age, age of enclosure and altitude difference. Similarly species composition and woody species cover were assessed from open and enclosed area.

Tsegaye Eshetu received his (BSc) in Animal production and range land management and (MSc) in animal nutrition from Hawassa university Ethiopia. He served in Hawassa TVET college in water technology department as lecturer until 2010 & now He serve in Dilla University as instructor in animal science department.
