The study investigated financial resource mobilization for orphan support services in Kabale district. It examined three objectives including the process of financial resource acquisition for the support of orphans, the criteria used in financial resource allocation and the process of financial resource utilization in support of orphans in Kabale district.The study was carried out in 15 sub counties and Kabale municipality. It employed a cross section survey design because it enabled the researcher to obtain data at the same time. Purposive sampling technique and Morgan's tables were used to select the sample population. In total 101 respondents were included in the study. Instruments of data collection were questionnaires, interview guides and focus group discussion. Systematic content analysis and inferential statistical techniques were used to analyze the data.The findings reveal among others that NGOs and Faith based organizations are the main actors in financial resource mobilization for orphan support services in the district, the implementation of policies and guidelines regarding orphans is very low, corruption and poverty are very high.
