Autorenporträt

I trained to be an ophthalmologist, and have spent the happiest years of my life as one. When I became a medical teacher, it added to the charm. I imagined that nothing could surpass the pleasure of sharing the secrets of my favorite discipline with young learners, but then, I (re)discovered the humanities. Bringing the humanities into health professions education has been a source of even greater joy, and when poetry found me, there was no turning away from it.
