The demand of economic and light weight EMI protecting or absorbing substances is increasing to reduce the ever enhancing pollution of microwave interference for the safeguard of reactive electronic equipment. Efficient Radar Absorbing Materials (RAM) should ascertain the characteristics of enhanced broadband microwave absorption together with light weight, cost effective, environmental inertness and easy processing technique with easily available raw material. In this effort, development of microwave absorber based on polymer composite materials viz. polyaniline (PANI), expanded graphite (EG) and novolac phenolic resin (NPR) i.e. (PAEG-NPR) and (PANI-NPR) have been studied in the X-band (8.2-12.4 GHz).
