Metal matrix composites can be mainly prepared by metallic materials, ceramic materials and non-metallic materials. The metallic material like aluminum with silicon carbide (Al-SiC) and Al-B4C metal matrix composites by stir casting method are developed for the present research. To explore and augment the engineering industrial sectors, this emphasizes the production of Aluminium Metal Matrix composites using stir casting technique and samples are prepared with different compositions of SiC & B4C i.e. 1.5%, 3%,4.5% and 6%. Final samples were tested for various mechanical properties such as Rockwell hardness, impact strength, tensile and compressive strength as well as Microstructure. The Al-SiC MMC properties are analyzed and evaluated to be 3% mix is optimum. The 3% Al-SiC MMC is machined with an unconventional machining process WEDM process, optimal parameters are determined using Origin software and ANOVA. Mathematical correlations are developed for the optimal parameters required to machine the MMC under present work.
