Vivien Schmeling Piccin, PT, PhD is graduated in Physical Therapy and Psychology. She has specialization in Respiratory Physiotherapy from the Hospital das Clínicas of the University of São Paulo Medical School, Doctorate in Sciences from the University of São Paulo Medical School - Department of Pathology/Laboratory of Pulmonary Defense, Post-Doctorate from the University of São Paulo Medical School - Department of Cardiopneumology/Sleep Laboratory at the Heart Institute - InCor. Dr. Piccin was board member of the Sleep Department of the Brazilian Association of Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy in Intensive Care (ASSOBRAFIR) (biennium 2014/2015 and 2016/2017) and board member of the Respiratory Department of Brazilian Sleep Association (ABS) (biennium 2016/2017). She has been strongly active in the sleep area since 2010, publishing book chapters and participating as invited professor in events, conferences, seminars, etc. Currently she has online platforms of courses focused on sleep disorders and is considered a professional reference in its field.
