Besides, the medical and aromatic plants has been increasing as an important role that can support the economic system. Although they are available, the medicinal and aromatic plants are not well known by the general public yet, the reason why this booklet was initiated and written with a maximum of useful information to prospective users. This book which fills those gaps of knowledge limiting successful aromatic plants planting and herbal tea use is the first of its kind to be published in Rwanda and EAC countries. It describes 5 most potential aromatic plant species grown in Rwanda. It gives some useful information about the species' botanical description, biological diversity, cultivation, therapeutic properties, economical value and use precautions. This book will be, in additional to readers, beneficial to students,policy makers and researchers in horticulture.
Autorenporträt
I was born in 1968 in DR Congo and spent my childhood there. After the genocide Against Tutsi of 1994, I returned to Rwanda where I did my University studies in chemistry. From 2000, I am Researcher at IRST/Rwanda. I got a MSc degree in Lome University (Togo). My co-authors V. UGIRINSHUTI and A. NYIRABAGENI joined me in 2007 and 2010 respectively.
