Autorenporträt
Vickie M. Williamson is an Instructional Associate Professor at Texas A&M University. She received her B.S. from Central Oklahoma University and Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma. She has taught at the high school, community college, and university levels, as well as published several peer-reviewed chemical education research papers dealing with classroom techniques to increase students� understanding of chemistry. She was named as the 2015 recipient of the ACS Award for Achievement in Research for the Teaching and Learning of Chemistry for her body of research on the visualization of the particulate nature of matter. She has authored a laboratory inquiry-based manual for general chemistry, a similar laboratory manual for liberal arts chemistry, interactive CDs for high-school chemistry, textbooks and supplements for middle school to college level chemistry, and standardized chemistry examinations. She has been dedicated to teaching an atoms-first general chemistry since 2012.
