Autorenporträt
Vic Pentreath was born just after the Second World War and spent his childhood in the south of England. During early family visits to Cornwall, he developed a fascination with the natural world. He went to St Andrews University where he received his BSc and PhD degrees. Most of his career was spent teaching at the University of Salford, principally in the field of neurosciences. He headed a research group studying electrical and metabolic interactions between nerve cells. He is married with five grown-up children. Since retirement he has spent much of his time in North Wales, enjoying nature and its relationships with art.
