Heterolingual variants of words in modern German

a lexical study

In the present monograph types of heterolingual oppositions "German vs. (American) English" at different levels of the system of the modern German literary language are analyzed. The phenomenon of the heterolingual variability is caused by an invasive borrowing English-Americanisms which constitute with autochthonous words of German various paradigmatic relations. The work is intended to German scholars, translators, lexicographers, will be useful for graduate students and those of faculties of foreign languages as well.

Autor

Born 1977 in Navoi. Study of German and English languages at the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and University of Saarland. Grant holder of Russian President (2009-2010). Doctoral degree in 2005 in Barnaul. Since 2000 Associate Professor at the Tomsk Polytechnic University. Over 100 publications in German studies and social linguistics.
