The aim of this book is to promote Justice in terms of equality for women and to make them able enough to claim their economic rights. This study focused on the comparison between men and women particularly in relation to access to the property, which represented the first step in the Women's' and Property Rights project. This project served as a tool for women's' legal empowerment by helping them by informing about their rights. The study only dealt with the property rights of the women in India in regards to their personal law and other laws, which promote women' rights.

Dr Vijay Pratap Tiwari is Associate Professor of Law at Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur. Before joining this University, Dr Tiwari was serving at National Law University, Assam as Associate Professor of Law and Head, Centre for Child Rights and also as a Member of Executive and Academic Councils.
