Medicinal plants are source of great economic value of all over the world Scientific and Systemic investigation was carried out for identification, selection, characterization of popularly grown medicinal plants and there phytochemical analysis was carried out to assess their medicinal value potentialities. Qualitative phytochemical analysis of these plants confirm the presence of various phytochemicals like saponins, terpenoids, steroids, anthocyanins, coumarins, fatty acid, tannins, leucoanthocyanins and emodins. Out of 10 medicinal plants subjected to phytochemical screening 4 we're found to be highly potential, 5 moderately potential and 1 to be least potential on the basis of presence of phytochemicals in the leaf extract for secondary metabolites. Aqueous ethanolic extract of four medicinal plants were subjected to in vitroantimicrobial assay against plant and human pathogenic Escherichia coli, Aspergillus niger ,Candida albicana, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphlococcus aureusemploying cup diffusion method.
