Prof Sarkar has graduated from the Newcastle University,UK and holds PhD degree in Planning & engaged in teaching and research and consulting work in the area of Transport Planning & Engineering at the School of Planning and Architecture. He has been involved as an expert in many technical committees of national importance. He published 90 papers.
