The world is full of coincidences, and every life, at some point, experiences them. How do we perceive seemingly random, unplanned, or unexpected events as they unfold? The world is full of coincidences, and every life, at some point, experiences them. How do we perceive seemingly random, unplanned, or unexpected events as they unfold? Surely, an action somewhere sets off a chain of events that may bring surprising positive outcomes for some and catastrophic consequences for others. Coincidences seem to oscillate between the realms of the determinate and the indeterminate. Two distinct phenomena-causal explanation and pure randomness-often define how these realms take shape. One person's purpose can render another person's life unpredictable. Is that coincidence? Consider the fate of a passenger on a bus driven by a drunk driver versus someone struck by lightning. Are these merely coincidences, or is someone deliberately orchestrating events to lead to a predetermined outcome? And what about meeting people? Sometimes, our best friends are those we meet at a random event, with no prior connections. Coincidence, perhaps. Lets look at another dimension - Do we trust ourselves when we take a step forward? Is trust something we take for granted, or is it a conviction heavily biased, hoping for, at worst, a neutral outcome? What about trusting others-or others trusting people who have been entrusted not to break that trust? In the world of trust, there is no coincidence. Trust does not happen by accident; it is deliberate, intentional, and cultivated over time. Trust and coincidence exist on opposite ends of a spectrum, each profoundly influencing and shaping the events that unfold. This has been my central theme as you flip through the pages, sometimes moving back and forth in time. The characters portrayed have diverse personalities, each with varying degrees of trust, morality, and ethics, all juxtaposed against trying circumstances. On the night when all the characters converge on the playing field, some place their trust in others, some rely on their own judgment, others on their convictions-and some simply find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.
