Yutaka Ogawa was born in Yokohama, Japan on July 10, 1938. In April 1945, I entered the National Elementary School in Dalian, China at the end of the Pacific War, and finally graduated from the Yokohama National University, Department of Mechanical Engineering. After that, I worked for the Oval Corporation on the design and development of flowmeters for about 40 years. I became a director and head of the research division in 1990. In 1977, I received the Metrology Merit Award from the Minister of International Trade and Industry Japan, and retired from the company in 2004.

In April 1945, I entered the National Elementary School in Dalian, China at the end of the Pacific War, and finally graduated from the Yokohama National University, Department of Mechanical Engineering. After that, I worked for the Oval Corporation on the design and development of flowmeters for about 40 years. I became a director and head of the research division in 1990. In 1977, I received the Metrology Merit Award from the Minister of International Trade and Industry, Japan.
