In this book we present the integrative psychological model of therapeutic interventions used by group of patients with chronically inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerose colitis, Morbus Crohn) in University Clinic of Maribor, Slovenia. We started from bio-psychosocial point of view to the human and his/her health and illness questions. That implies assumption that chronically ill position could be hard stressful and patient's ways of coping with the illness could be less effective and therefore further threatening to subject's immune system. Considering that numerous psychological factors can lead not only to poor compliance, and to the insufficient illness adaptation as a whole, we try to form appropriate theoretical model of psychological help as a part of interdisciplinary treatment of these patients.
