The book is devoted to the study of the sorption and electrosurface properties of industrial pectin and pectin-containing products in relation to heavy metal ions. The influence of the methods and technological parameters of chemical, extrusion and combined modification of pectin-containing wastes on their sorption activity is investigated. The obtained quantitative characteristics of the sorption capacity of pectin and pectin-containing products can be used to create medical antidotes and special food and feed products used in case of poisoning of the body with heavy metals. The book may be useful for professionals involved in the development of therapeutic and prophylactic products, environmentalists, as well as scientists interested in sorption technologies.
