Began writing stories when I was in early Middle school, not taking long at all to discover what I wanted to write about the most. I drew from my own experiences and the experiences of those around to develop my writing voice. My philosophy, inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, is to write the kinds of books I would like to read.

I spent five years in the Marine Corps Infantry before settling down in my hometown back in Wisconsin to work on my series.
