The book describes the design of cooling process for molten fluid in the mould. The mould is placed in the cooling chamber. The cool air/gas is entered from one end and passes over the mould. It takes heat and exist from opposite end. The convection diffusion process is involved in this phenomena. Firstly, we have conduction phenomena and obtained its solution procedure in finite element method. In the next step, convection conduction(diffusion) process is studied using conventional finite difference, finite volume and upwind scheme. Then we use standard galerkin finite element for transient heat conduction convection phenomena. At the end, we selected Characteristics Galerkin FEM which is none error free as compared to other method. In the last, we used Characteristics based splitting GFEM for solving the industrial problem. We have found useful results. The method can further the used extended to other industrial problems.
