Autorenporträt
I have been a professional writer since my late teens and have written film, television, theatre - even radio - and yet "A Feast of Wolves is my first novel. It's the story I had to write because it's the story I wanted to read; a big, fast-paced, adventurous tale about the political craziness that has taken over the world in the last seven years or so, yet a story that entertains and leaves the reader with real hope.Prior to "A Feast of Wolves," I wrote and directed "American Hangman," a feature film starring Donald Sutherland. It was released in 2019 on Netflix, and I'm happy to say has gained a cult following. Before that - and because my four kids were little at the time - I focused almost exclusively on children's stories and family entertainment. I created series and feature films for Disney, BBC, Showtime, CBC, PBS, and Discovery. As a playwright, I was lucky enough to have seven plays produced by CBC Radio. As a citizen of both the U.S. and Canada, I was able to split my time between the two countries over the last ten years, which perhaps gave me an unusual perspective on the politics of the time. It's certainly why I came up with the idea of, "What if the French Revolution came to America today?"I am finishing a new novel. A mystery, this time. About a detective and his four kids. My dream.
